Goldthrone a 5 piece hard-rock band from Lutruwita/Tasmania. Goldthrone was formed in 2022 by the lead vocalist, Tim Broxton. Tim had been playing in various other acts over the years prior and wanted to venture into a heavy sound. Tim put a call out to musician mates, Will Shepherd (Drums), Alex Philpott (Bass), Jack Curtin (Guitar) and Will Krause (Guitar), and Goldthrone was established. Goldthrone have been spending their time playing gigs here and there locally and recording their music at Disclosed Recordings in Launceston, Tasmania. In March 2023, Goldthrone released their debut single, Homeworld. The single was mixed by Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger, Midnight Oil) and then it was sent to John Davis (U2, Led Zeppelin, Blur) at Metropolis Studios in the UK to be mastered. In August 2023, Goldthrone dropped their anthemic second single, Scale It Down. You can follow Goldthrone on social media to keep up to date with their gigs, music and merchandise.
