Joey Paul is an indie-pop singer/songwriter. Describing himself as a “slave for words”, this lyrical artisan is full of song ideas and he loves nothing more than to share them with as many people as possible. Influenced by the smooth and poppy sound of Jack Johnson and the guitar skills of John Mayer, Joey’s style is bouncy in a relaxed kind of way- a warm Sunday afternoon kind of sound. JP Cooper, an up and coming artist from the UK, also plays a major influential role in Joey's later songwriting. Drawing inspiration from Cooper’s graceful ability to make his melodies feel unique, by travelling – subtly interloping his warm lower register with minty fresh high notes, all with relatable lyrics and catchy melody lines. Joey Paul has a soft spot for writing songs about love and discovering its presence in people and in life.
