Kim Imber is a singer/songwriter who plays acoustic guitar and harmonica. He has been writing, recording and performing his songs for nearly 20 years. He describes himself as a modern-day poet and his music as indie/surf/roots. Some songs are for the body, some for the mind and others for the soul, and all with meaningful lyrics. Kim cites influences from Dylan and Neil Young to Nirvana, Donavan F and Jack Johnson to name but a few. He often plays live in NE Tasmania and travels interstate to Melbourne and Northern NSW when possible. Over the years Kim has gained considerable airplay on Community and ABC radio and ABC TV. Music Tasmania acknowledges Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the traditional owners of this island, lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to elders past and present and acknowledge traditional peoples' connection to country. We respect the traditions and customs of the Aboriginal people of lutruwita, who remain the custodians of these lands.
