BOCCE is a dynamic and energetic five-piece alternative rock band hailing from lutruwita / Hobart, Tasmania. Born from late-night jam sessions in a coastal shed, the group consists of Zac Flanagan on lead guitar, Liam Meagher on vox and rhythm guitar, Will Barwick on drums, Campbell Jepson on bass, and Nick McCarthy on keys / guitar.

What started as a local music and arts exhibition performance has since escalated into an exciting journey for the band. Winning the Triple J Unearthed competition allowed BOCCE to play at 2021's Party in the Apocalypse, and they've since supported renowned Australian acts such as The Terrys, Teenage Dads, Vacations, and Old Mervs.

The name BOCCE derived from an unfortunate event when Zac and Liam were on a trip up the eastern coastline of Australia; living out of vans, waking up in car parks every morning and getting waves until their skin was blistered, all to reset and do it all again. One morning, one of their colour blind mates lost a bright green ball in the grass out of their bowls set and they felt it was right to name the band from this misfortune.

Their latest track 'Asterisk' was released in February, 2023 - the first of two singles that the boys have recorded in their home state with acclaimed Australian producer Chris Townend
