Formed in the autumn of 2015, The Venus Figurines are a three-piece alternative rock outfit hailing from nipaluna/Hobart, lutruwita/Tasmania.

Expanding upon the contemporaries of their alt-rock roots, they showcase a diverse densely layered sound borrowing elements from classic rock, heavy metal, prog-rock, shoegaze, and in their formative years, pop punk.

Daniels is the group's primary songwriter and lyricist. He draws inspiration from real-life situations and personal experiences which often accumulate in dynamic harmonies and juxtaposing musical concepts.

On stage, they are cited for their highly energetic performances, camaraderie, and versatile blends of sounds consisting of powerful screams, melodic guitars, groovacious drums, and chunky distorted bass hooks.

2017 saw the release of their debut EP, In Transit, to significant airplay from community radio stations across the globe. InĀ 2022, they released their debut LP, First Stop, a cohesive and genre-bending effort pushing the extremes of their vulnerabilities and confidences.

Their sophomore album, Modern Paradigm, released in 2023 to glowing reviews from global publications. The record is a culmination of the group experimenting with new sounds and unconventional song structures to expand their musical prowess.
