Will Moon is a Tasmanian raised composer, frontman and recording artist working across a wide range of genres.
His work is recognised for spanning heart wrenching acoustic crooners, to manically frenetic pop freak outs, to videogame inspired soundtracks. As front man for New-Wave Power Pop outfit Nice House, Will Moon brings poignant, critical lyrics, enigmatic stage presence and larger-than-life choruses todrill into your skull like any good earworm.
Will's solo career has spanned the past decade as recording and performing artist. In October 2022, he released Unorthopop, a manic exploration of sonic explosions, pop melody, and genre hopping madness, and released to acclaim in the Hobart underground scene. His third major release "Ordinary Living" is due for release in 2023.
Will's lush textures and pop sensibilities also created psychedlic garage gold with Moonglue, achieving airplay on JJJ, fbi and 4ZZZ, and a slot at Falls Festival 2018/19. His knack for noise has been lent to recordings and live performance with acclaimed country acts Bianca Blackhall for her seminal 2019 work, and mainland Americana heavyweight Phil Smith. His extensive credits include contributions to Tarraleah Power Station and Silver Fleet Ships. He is one third of improvisational noise trio GODPISS, and the secret behind electronica freak-show, POX NOX.
Professionally, Will works in youth arts and advocacy with City of Hobart and Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT). His passion for social justice and desire to dismantle our corporate and political overlords fuels his pointed lyricism and unending drive to create. Will is also a board member of Music Tasmania.
