Reel to Reel Studios is a complete recording service, consisting of a fully equipped recording studio, online mixing, mastering and production services and helpful tips and advice for anyone recording their own material from home.
The studio itself is unique in that it is the only recording studio to be built with the ground-breaking acoustic properties of Timber Crete, a timber concrete composite block. This, in conjunction with a select choice of high-end boutique microphones, pre amps and EQ's, makes Reel to Reel Studios a pleasure to record in for artists and bands of all genres.
Reel to Reel has been designed as a hybrid studio setup, utilizing the analog domain for its richness and warmth that digital simply can't provide with the work flow and functionality that digital studios provide. This combination provides the highest sonic quality and most flexible recording experience available. We have three rooms available: a large 6x6 metre main tracking room, a smaller 3x6 metre vocal tracking room, and a mix control room.
Made from timber-crete, untreated timber and beautiful polished concrete floors, the acoustic properties of the recording rooms are amazing. Situated deep in the hills of Margate, Tasmania, a perfect silent bush backdrop for artistic creativity and music production awaits.
