Future State is an electronic duo located in Hobart, Tasmania, blending Trip-Hop, Pop and elements of Jazz. They bring a modern twist to the genre with haunting vocals and melancholic soundscapes pushed along by brooding beats. The artists that inspire them range from Portishead, Massive Attack, Future Sound of London to Florence and the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead. They released their debut EP Rising Tide in 2020 followed closely by their first single Autumn which premiered on FBI radio. In early 2024 they will be releasing a dark atmospheric 8 track album that has been a labour of love for many years.
